"A writer who waits for ideal conditions under which to work will die without putting a word on the paper"- EB White
How To Read Literature Like A Professor has become one of the most influential books I have read throughout my high school English classes. This paper reflected a few ways I was able to connect Foster's book to The Great Gatsby. There were many different elements and chapters in which Foster describes ways to identify and analyze literature. As we have gone further through our AP Literature and Composition class I have used this book to provide clear and thoughtful analyzation that otherwise would not be possible. I hope reading this paper will encourage others to read Foster's great piece of literature.

I chose to include this paper to mix up the type of literature I have written about. This poem was very short so it took a lot more in depth thought and class discussion to portray its underlying meanings. This work was one of the hardest but most rewarding writes I have done. This was very influential in helping me be able to identify and interpret poems beyond the literal sense. I hope this can help readers to make more meanings of poems they read and analyze in the future.
